Toddler Class

The Toddler class is for children ages 18 months -24 months.  While children's development varies greatly between one child and another and can be very uneven within the individual child with respect to specific areas of development; toddlers typically begin to explore their independence as they learn about themselves and their world.  They begin to respond in increasingly appropriate ways to others as they gain better control over their bodies and their emotions.  They want to be with other people and they begin to do things by themselves.

Responsive and caring teachers help toddlers:
  • Feel comfortable in the classroom and secure with the teachers and other children.
  • Enjoy new activities and begin to make choices about those activities.
  • Increase their ability to act intentionally in appropriate ways.
  • Understand cause and effect in all areas of their development.
  • Grow in their ability to listen and to express themselves.
  • Have fun and enjoy learning through play.
